My name is Courtney, and I am just a simple girl living in the Midwest with a passion for story-telling. While I'm a wedding photographer in profession - first and foremost, I am a Child of God, devoted wife, proud schnoodle mom, hopeless romantic, terrible organizer, and lover of all things organic. I approach photography in a sincere fashion and strongly believe that the most beautiful things are the most authentic. So I think that's what inspires me to tell a real story.
In my free-time, I can either be found in sweatpants having full-blown conversations with my dog, or re-decorating our little "farmhouse" with things that I've found at thrift stores. I am unbelievably passionate about what I do, and like to think that even in this small way, I am glorifying our Savior by seeing and sharing His light. I give Him credit for every victory in my business, and would love nothing more than to help you grow yours!
I’m Jessica Lauren – a St. Louis wedding photographer with an immense love for Jesus, adventuring, and white chocolate americanos! My passion lies in capturing the incredible joy and beauty that is love and life, and having the opportunity to point all that goodness back to our Creator. Over the past 4 years as a wedding photographer, I've made so many mistakes and learned from every one of them. Join us August 8th, 2016 in St. Louis, Missouri from 9am-6pm for a of learning focused on growing YOU as a creative! We will be covering details such as shooting in manual, understanding light, booking + interacting with your clients, posing + running a shoot (including a super rad styled shoot where you can put your newfound knowledge to use!), creating beautiful images, basic workflow (culling, editing, delivery), the backend of running a business, Q + A and so much more!!
Our desire is for every person to leave feel inspired and equipped to grow themselves. Whether you’re an aspiring photographer desiring to start a business, would simply like to hone in on your photography style, or you have an established business and just need a kickstart – this is for you!

(New dates coming soon!) The Workshop will be held on August 8th from 9am-6pm at Long Row Lavender Farm in Wright City, Missouri. They have recently built a brand new, modern barn where the workshop will be hosted, and the styled shoot will take place on the grounds. We are so stoked about this incredible venue space!
Your camera body + favorite lens, notebook and pen, and your sweet self! A laptop is optional, but we will be walking through editing in Lightroom if you would like to bring yours. Oh - and come with any and every question you can think of! :)

I loved every minute of it! I went into it with a very open, wanting to learn spirit! I can't believe how much I learned! Before the workshop, I had played around with portrait photography but had no idea what I was doing. I came out of the workshop completely able to shoot a session. And what do you know... one week later I shot my very first session! You two could very well keep your talents to yourself and not share with others.
